I made a quick video that shows a variety of ways to insert images into Google, including how students can take a snapshot directly from their Chromebook.
Formative is a great tool to use as a quick formative assessment or exit ticket. It has a user-friendly interface and offers a variety of item types including typed response, true/false, multiple choice, and DRAW response. You can also insert images and blocks of text for students to read and respond to. The answers can be viewed live to give a quick check for understanding.

(A little note about this video: I didn't realize it was recording my face! If I had known, I might have smiled a little more!)
Do you know your rights when it comes to using images and media use in the classroom?

Check out this Google Tool for using your voice to get text on a page. It could come in handy for our students who struggle with typing, and also for times when we have a piece of text on paper, in a locked PDF, or in a book that we would like students to be able to use in Google Docs for annotations or other activities.
