Formative is a great tool to use as a quick formative assessment or exit ticket. It has a user-friendly interface and offers a variety of item types including typed response, true/false, multiple choice, and DRAW response.  You can also insert images and blocks of text for students to read and respond to. The answers can be viewed live to give a quick check for understanding.

Take my sample quiz on Formative:

Please watch this four minute video! There is a new feature on YouTube that will allow videos to be approved for student viewing. This feature should be fully operational in the very, very near future.

(A little note about this video: I didn't realize it was recording my face! If I had known, I might have smiled a little more!)

Here’s a quick and easy way to move your images and videos FROM your iPad to a folder in Google Drive!

Check out this Google Tool for using your voice to get text on a page. It could come in handy for our students who struggle with typing, and also for times when we have a piece of text on paper, in a locked PDF,  or in a book that we would like students to be able to use in Google Docs for annotations or other activities.
